Dark pink ruby–staining and no edge. Big eucalyptus. Big eucalyptus initial. You must love eucalyptus for this wine. Warm sultry eucalyptus leaves rustling in the hot wind. Long iron-bark shards calving off onto the ground–dark fruit hidden behind mossy wood and fresh cut grass. Alcohol lurks but nothing gets past the eucalyptus.
In the mouth, the herbaceous shows bright solidarity with the pie cherry and rich wet gravel. This is going to be one of the more acidic Shiraz’s you’ve ever had in your life. It is bright and shrill and it builds on its citrusy platform immediately, making high pitch tannins seamlessly continue the lemonade note into the long finish of dank berry.
You’re not going to be able to get this in the US, but my aussie-followers should have no problem–although it is quite limited.
